Get ready for a sensational celebration of original music! Albert's Shed is thrilled to host the next instalment of the Albert’s Songwriters Showcase on Wednesday, October 15th. Kicking off at 8:30 PM, this is your chance to catch three wildly diverse and talented artists sharing their stories, all with totally free entry.
This week, we’ve assembled a phenomenal triple bill that spans the best of folk, Americana, and pop-punk energy.
Kicking off the evening is the legendary PAUL BEADLE. A troubadour of the UK folk circuit for four decades, Paul boasts an incredible resume, having performed everywhere from Glastonbury to The Barbican in London. Paul will be delving into his deep folk roots, accompanying his original songs with guitar and the occasional unexpected loop—you might even catch a glimpse of his experimental, psychedelic alter-ego, Zen Cuba.
Next up, brace yourself for the fiery pop-punk energy of KING OF CARAVANS. Known off-stage as David Farmer, this Bewdley singer/songwriter is famous for delivering powerful “pop punk protest songs,” harassing us with hope whether he’s performing solo or with his band, Rebel and the Banned.
Rounding out the night is the returning CHRIS GREVE. Having recently spent two months soaking up the musical atmosphere in New York, Nashville, and New Orleans, Chris is back in Shrewsbury for what is currently his only scheduled performance here in Shropshire for 2025! Chris will be showcasing his unique blend of Americana/Folk, featuring songs recently recorded in NYC and tracks from his previous albums. CHRIS GREVE
After recently spending the past two months in New York, as well as stops in Nashville, New Orleans, and other cities, Chris Greve returns to Albert’s Shed Shrewsbury, for what is to be his only 2025 performance here in Shropshire.
Chris will be performing his own unique blend of Americana/Folk style of songs he recently recorded in NYC, which will be released later this year, as well as ones from his previous albums.

PAUL BEADLE
Paul Beadle, is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist (guitar, flute, percussion, mandolin etc.) and vocalist who has played at Glastonbury Festival, Warwick Folk Festival, Upton Folk Festival, Newent Folk Festival, Pontardawe Festival, The Barbican in London, Beardy Folk Festival, Beautiful Days, Green Gathering and more, and has been a troubadour of the local folk scene for four decades with 'Whiteleaved Oak', The Company of Strangers, 'Splatt', The Exiles, Jamie Knight, The Oohz and is currently with Journeyman and Birdbrother.
Paul is also a singer songwriter delving into his folk roots and accompanying his original songs, exploring themes from personal experiences on guitar, and occasionally, with the addition of loops, he will go out under the guise of Zen Cuba where he experiments with improvised, more psychedelic, perhaps even meditative, compositions.
